New toolkit launched to help recruiters promote their good work

We have launched a new member toolkit to enable recruiters to talk up the value our industry delivers to individuals, businesses, and the wider economy.

REC Chief Executive Kevin Green says:

“We have launched a new member toolkit to enable recruiters to talk up the value our industry delivers to individuals, businesses, and the wider economy. Jobs transform lives: we want REC members to shout about the difference we make on a daily basis so we get the recognition we deserve. This toolkit has been designed to help you get that message across to your candidates and clients.

“The toolkit is free to REC members and contains research and resources designed to help you communicate effectively about the great work you do. We want to raise the profile of our profession and to do that we need you to talk up the value of recruitment and promote the Good Recruitment Campaign to your clients. In doing so, you will improve our industry’s reputation.

“We have won the economic argument that a dynamic and responsive recruitment industry is a critical component in creating the best jobs market in the world. The Good Recruitment Campaign promotes our industry to your clients. The missing element, up until recently, has been demonstrating how we help individuals get jobs that transform their lives. That means talking collectively about the good things the recruitment industry does and the difference we make so that recruitment is recognised as a good profession.

“With your support we can take these messages to government, the media and the wider public – but we need your help. We want you to use the toolkit in your communications, and let us know what you’re doing with the hashtag #jobstransform.

“What you do matters – let’s tell more people about it.”

Kevin Green has been the Chief Executive of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation since June 2008. The REC is the professional body for the UK’s 28.7 billion private recruitment industry.

Since arriving at the REC, Kevin has improved its offering to members; this has included the introduction of account management, the established Institute of Recruitment Professionals. Kevin is also VP of Ciett the Global representative body for the recruitment industry. He chairs the national federations committee.

Before starting at the REC, Kevin worked for the Royal Mail from 2003 to 2008. His last role was HR Director for Royal Mail Letters.
